Send money to Mexico

The maximum amount of money you send to Mexico depends on whether you’re sending from your bank account or using your credit or Visa debit card¹.

• If you’re sending money from your bank account, the maximum money transfer limit is $999.
• If you’re sending money from a credit2 or debit card, you can send up to $5,000.

Sending money to Mexico for deposit in a bank account is quick and easy. You can choose to send money to a qualifying bank account using your credit or Visa debit card¹ or pay by bank transfer.

Here’s how:

1. Log in or register and verify your free profile. Click on the ‘Send now’ button to begin your money transfer.
2. Select Mexico as the destination and choose the amount you’d like to send. Money transfer times vary per destination country, but you’ll be able to view these times as you make your selection.
3. Select ‘Bank account’. You can select a past receiver or enter your receiver’s bank account details.
4. Pay with your credit or Visa debit card¹ or fill out the details for a bank transfer.
5. Review and confirm your money is on the way. We will send you a confirmation email with a tracking number of your money transfer, known as a Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN). You can share this number with your receiver to track the money.

If you’re sending money to Mexico from Canada for deposit in a bank account, you’ll need to have some details about your receiver. Have their account type and number, as well as their national ID, phone number and address. This includes the state and city.

If you need to get money to your receiver quickly, sending money to Mexico for cash pickup is a fast and convenient option. You can simply pay by credit/Visa debit card¹ or by bank transfer, and the money is ready for cash pickup in minutes².

If paying by credit/Visa debit card¹:

1. Log in or register and verify your free profile. Click ‘Send now’ to start your money transfer.
2. Enter Mexico as the destination and choose the amount you’d like to send. Select ‘Cash pickup’ and payment by card.
3. Enter your receiver’s name and address.
4. Pay with your credit/Visa debit card¹.

We will send you a confirmation email with a Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN) for your money transfer. Share this number with your receiver for fast cash pickup.

If paying by bank transfer:

1. Log in or register and verify your free profile. Click ‘Send now’ to start your money transfer.
2. Enter Mexico as the destination and choose the amount you’d like to pay with a bank account. Select ‘Cash pickup’.
3. Verify your bank account and complete your money transfer.
4. We will send you a confirmation email with a tracking number (MTCN). Share this number with your receiver for fast cash pickup.
